Halloween in the Garden
October was a busy month in the garden. The garden was producing tasty fall crops and we hosted a pumpkin carving party on October 27th. A few days later, Elliotborough Park & Community Garden was the ending point for the first Elliotborough Halloween Parade and Festival on October 30th. The garden was transformed into a haunted cemetery and it hosted the "Hello my name is BBQ" truck, beer sales to benefit the Neighborhood Association, and a City of Charleston fire truck for kids to check out. We are already looking forward to second annual Halloween Festival in 2011!
